5 months  (Aug 2015 – Jan 2016) as a helper in the Philippines

Alyssa Joyce worked in a 2-storey house with a garden, 2-bedrooms, a toilet, living room and kitchen for a family of 4 with a newborn and 10-month-old, and she looked after their welfare. Daily, she cleans and tidy the house. In all these, she learned to manage her work well. For her future employment, she hopes to learn and adapt to new culture and experiences.

Stays home, spend time with her family and currently, works as a Janitress in a hospital in the Philippines.      

Cooking                   

She cooks Filipino dishes, such as adobo, sinigang, menudo, afritada, sarsiado, tinola etc., keen to learn to cook Chinese and various other dishes.

Childcare

She is keen to look after children/ infants. In her local experience, she prepared their milk, meals and fed the infant, washed and sterilized feeding bottles, bathed and changed with fresh clothing and diapers, dressed and get children ready for school, watched over their playing and safety, kept company and soothed the infant to sleep, attended to and assisted in their needs.

Elderly Care

She is keen to look after the elderly, and she looks after her 74-year-old diabetic grandmother with head surgery. She prepares her meals, assist to bathe and change with fresh clothing, attend to and assist in her daily needs.

Pet Care

She is keen to look after pets.

Hand phone

She will follow the employer’s instruction regarding hand phone usage. However, she will contact her family using her own hand phone after work hour. Any other usage arrangement is between employer and helper; this will be stated in the Job Offer.

Off-day

The helper is entitled to 1 compulsory off-day per month and the other working off-days shall be compensated accordingly.

2 years contract

She is aware of the 2-year contract.

Singapore
Dec 2024 - Present. For a European family residing in a landed villa with eight bedrooms, where she had her own room and worked alongside another helper. Her primary duties included caring for a 2-year-old child, while a separate nanny also supported childcare. She was responsible for general housekeeping and cooking a variety of dishes such as aglio olio, roasted chicken, lasagna, and carbonara. Additionally, she took care of the family’s two maltipoo dogs and does petcare like handling daily walks, grooming (including tooth brushing and bathing), feeding, and taking the dogs to the vet. She also assisted with simple pot gardening of herbs, such as spring onions, coriander and basil. Miraflor is available for transfer anytime as her employer will be relocating soon.

Mar 2024 - Aug 2024, For a Singaporean family living in a three-bedroom condominium, where she was provided her own room (a fourth bedroom). Her main responsibilities included general housekeeping, such as cleaning, laundry, ironing, vacuuming, grocery shopping, and preparing both Chinese and Western dishes. She also cared for a 3-month-old baby, assisting with bathing, diaper changes, feeding, putting the baby to sleep, and engaging in playtime In addition, she handled car washing, pot gardening such as tending to herbs and daily watering, and other tasks as needed. Miraflor left this position due to a personal family emergency.

Dubai 

Feb 2020 - Sep 2022  Miraflor worked at a children’s art and workshop school as an Arts and Crafts Teacher. She conducted daily sessions (except Fridays) lasting 3 to 4 hours, teaching groups of up to 5 children aged between 2 and 10 years old. She personally teaches her class lessons on basic painting, as well as recycling and upcycling used materials into functional and creative items. She successfully completed her contract in this role.

Sep 2013 - Dec 2019 For a Primary School, as a School Nanny. She provided full-time care for the children of faculty members during their teaching hours. She cared for children aged 1 to 5 years old, working 8 hours each day. Her responsibilities included personalized care based on the child’s age, from infant to toddler. She was in charge of diaper changing, preparing formula milk, assisting with toilet training, feeding, and engaging in playtime activities. She speaks conversational arabic, and can prepare shawarma, biryani, curry, can follow recipe. Miraflor also bakes a variety of treats, including banana cake, cookies, and bread. She completed her contract successfully.

She is available to start work immediately and is seeking a new opportunity to contribute her skills and experience.
