Ya also has experience caring for her 71-year-old grandmother back in Myanmar, who was semi-mobile. Her duties included changing clothes, changing diapers, showering, supporting her when walking, feeding, giving medication, accompanying her to hospital appointments, and watching over her.

Apart from these, Ya also does the usual housework, laundry, and cooking. She is able to cook some Burmese dishes and some simple Chinese dishes that she learned at the training center.
