During her four years of employment, she proved herself to be hardworking, trustworthy, and adaptable to a large household setting. Working in a multi-helper and multi-family environment taught her how to coordinate tasks efficiently, respect cultural differences, and maintain good teamwork and communication with her co-workers.

From 2019 to 2022, she worked in Hong Kong as a domestic helper for a Chinese family with two children, aged 6 and 4 years old. The family lived in an apartment with three rooms and two toilets. Karen May was the only helper in the household, so she was fully responsible for managing all household duties and ensuring that everything was well-organised and properly maintained.

Her daily tasks included general cleaning, laundry, ironing, cooking, and childcare. She prepared nutritious meals for the family, kept the house neat and tidy, and ensured that the children were well cared for. She assisted them with their daily routines, such as bathing, dressing, feeding, and preparing their school things. She also accompanied them to and from school and helped them with their homework when needed.

Karen May’s time in Hong Kong allowed her to further improve her skills in multitasking and time management. Despite being the only helper, she was able to handle all responsibilities efficiently. Her employer trusted her with the household and children, showing that she is reliable, hardworking, and capable of working independently in a fast-paced environment.
