Growing up in a modest household, Lyka developed a strong sense of responsibility, resilience, and independence, which shaped her into the hardworking and dedicated individual she is today.

She completed her secondary education at Bonifacio Annex High School in 2009.

Lyka has gained diverse work experience both locally and abroad. Her experience as a teacher strengthened her ability to guide, nurture, and educate young children with patience and care.

As part of her caregiving training, Lyka completed her on-the-job training in a hospital setting, where she was assigned to the surgery ward. During this period, she gained hands-on experience in handling patients with different medical conditions. She assisted in the care of a 12-year-old child with a broken arm and a 50-year-old patient diagnosed with lymphoma and diabetes. Her responsibilities included monitoring vital signs, assisting with bed making, performing grooming and hygiene care, and accompanying patients to their doctor’s appointments and medical procedures. This role enhanced her interpersonal skills, adaptability, and ability to provide quality service in a fast-paced environment.

In addition to her non-domestic roles, Lyka also has valuable experience in domestic work. The household consisted of a couple and their two-year-old child, and she worked alongside another helper. Her primary responsibility was childcare, where she provided hands-on care such as feeding, bathing, dressing, preparing meals, tutoring, and engaging the child in educational activities. She also handled the child’s laundry and assisted with general household chores when needed.

Lyka is highly capable in performing household duties such as cleaning, washing clothes, ironing, dishwashing, and cooking. She is knowledgeable in preparing Filipino dishes and is very willing to learn how to cook other cuisines. Her positive attitude and eagerness to learn make her adaptable to different household environments and cultural practices.

With her caregiving certification and personal experience in nurturing her own children, Lyka has developed a genuine interest in becoming a professional caregiver. She is particularly interested in gaining experience in caring for the elderly and individuals with special needs.
