Her responsibilities included infant and childcare, housekeeping, grocery shopping, laundry, and ironing. She also prepared meals such as noodle soup, stir-fried vegetables, stir-fried noodles, sambal prawns, and other dishes preferred by the family. In addition, she assisted her employer's adult sister, who lived in the same household, by handling her laundry, ironing, and meal preparation. Mary Rose requested a transfer due to the lack of privacy, as she did not have her own room and was expected to perform personal tasks for her employer’s sister.

She worked alongside another helper, with her primary responsibilities focused on cooking and caring for the youngest child. Her duties also included general housekeeping, grocery shopping, laundry, and ironing. Mary Rose prepared a variety of traditional and international dishes such as kabsa, fried prawns, soup, waraq areesh, and bechamel-based meals. She successfully completed her contract.
