The family lived in a 2-storey house with 4 bedrooms and 2 toilets. She was the only helper working in the employer’s house.

Her main responsibility was to take care of the 4-month-old baby, including feeding, bathing, changing clothes and diapers, sterilizing baby utensils, and grooming. For the 9-year-old, she helped prepare breakfast, packed lunch boxes, readied school uniforms, shoes, and school bags.

She worked was an all-around helper performing daily household chores like keeping the house clean,doing the laundry, marketing and cooking. In 2014, the female elder was diagnosed with cancer and she cared for her daily needs as well.

2. SINGAPORE (Mar 2016 – Present), She is currently working for a Chinese elderly couple living in a 4-room condo. The couple’s ages were 89 (male) and 77 (female). She was hired to assist the elders in their daily activities specially caring for the female elder who has cancer and the male elder with mild dementia.



With her experiences in looking after elderly, she is confident that she can provided support with elderly care, including companionship and assistance with daily activities.

She claims to be good in cooking in Chinese and Filipino Dishes and able to follow recipe book and still enthusiastic to lean other foreign dishes. Maids can be interviewed by phone upon request.

Jan 2025 to end May 2025 for a vegetarian Indian family with 2 children aged 5y and 9y  living in a condo. She also manages the housework chores like cleaning, laundry, ironing, preparing grocery list for her employer to order or she goes to the grocery when needed. Brenda can plan the meals but would ask her lady employer what they wish to have and can prepare meals like rasam, rajma chole, palak paneer, chana, stir fry brinjal with urad, dal, poha, paneer bhurji, dosa, idli, chapati, tomato chutney, pumpkin poori, paratha with some onions, matar paneer.  

July 2024 to Jan 2025 for a Chinese family with 5y twins living in a 3 storey house with their 2 cats and 4 small dogs. She also managed the cleaning, laundry, ironing, cooking. Brenda would prepare 3-4 dishes for dinner like steamed fish, stir fry vegetables with meat, soup ( chicken soup, bakuteh, pork ribs soup etc), beehoon, braised pork, pan fry salmon with vegetables, fried rice, pasta carbonara or pesto or pumpkin pasta (pureed pumpkin as sauce). Her employers were undergoing a separation and she asked to leave.  

Sept 2022 to June 2024 for an Indian family with a then 7y  son living in a 4 bedroom condo.   Her duties were to cook, grocery shopping, laundry, ironing and cleaning.   She prepare meals like chicken pulao, mutton /chicken /curry, mutton keema, roti ,aloo paratha, dal, idli, sambhar, upma, fish/egg curry etc. Brenda was released early as the family will not be needing a helper for a couple of months.  

November 2019 to Sept 2022  for an Indian family who lived in a condo with their 2 daughters then aged 11y & 17 when she started work. Her duties were mainly meal preparation for the family as the children are independent,  general housework and cooking,. Brenda has learned to make Indian food like paneer, curried vegetables, yogurt, chutney, idli, rajma, chana dal, aloo prata, chapati, sambar, potato curry, vegetarian pizza etc. She also does the grocery or making the list , cleaning up, laundry, ironing and sometimes washing car.  The family relocated to Canada thus she transferred.

Sept 2019 to Nov 2019  for a Chinese family mainly cooking and housekeeping of her employer's landed property. There was just 2 adults at home including an old lady but they were not getting along.

Sept 2016 to Sept 2019 for a Chinese family with an 8y old twins; the family lived in a condo. Her duties were general housework such cleaning, laundry, ironing, going to the market and cooking. She cooks 4 dishes including soup stir-fry vegetables, curry chicken, beef with brocolli, steamed fish, fried chicken, spring rolls, adobo, bihon, cereal prawns, stir fried prawn with peas, spaghetti bolognese, asparagus with garlic, chicken soup, steamed egg, potato with ground pork and she can easily follow recipe books.

June 2013 to Nov 2015  Brenda's first employers were a Swedish/Malay family with a then 11y old girl and living in an apartment. Her duties for them were general housework such as cleaning, laundry, ironing, cooking meals like pan-fried salmon with salad, spaghetti bolognese.
