June 2022 to end May 26, Joycen is working for a Chinese family of 4 adults including elderly couple in their 80\s living in a condo in Singapore. Her duties are to provided elderly care and disability care mainly for the old lady who is suffering from Parkinson's and dementia. The old lady has to be monitored through day and night and her shift starts from 4:30pm through the night until 8:30am when a live-out Nurse comes during the day. The old lady has a mickey PEG tube and she would feed her through there, check her blood pressure/oxygen saturation level, barthing her, provide oral hygiene care, massaging her, giving her medication, flushing water etc. There is another helper who does the cleaning, cooking and taking care care of the old man while Joycen does the laundry and ironing. Her contract is completing four years and she would like work for another family who needs caregiving services.

Nov 2020 to June 2022, she worked for a Filipino family of 2 adults and 2 children (aged 5 and 1) in an HDB. Her responsibilities were cleaning the house, grocery shopping, and cooking. She took care of the older child by getting him ready for school send/pick up, playing with him, preparing meals and snacks etc. The employment ended as the employer moved out of Singapore.

Aug 2016 to Nov 2020, Joycen was employed by a Chinese family of 4 adults and 4 children (aged 12, 11, 8, and 3) in an HDB maisonette. There are two eldelry who has diabetes and high blood pressure. â-ª Bernadita worked before in the Philippines as a housemaid for 3 years. Her employer is a Filipino family with 3 children ages 10, 8 and 2 months old baby girl. Her main priority is look after the 2 months old baby. She does diaper changing, putting the baby to sleep, doing a night feeding, sterilizing baby utensils, bathing, feeding, preparing milk formula for the baby. She is the one who prepare meals for the whole family. She likes to play, sing a song and read a story book for the children, helping and assisting the children doing school works and assisting in toileting like bathing, feeding, changing clothes etc.

Singapore (2013–2026)

â-ª Bernadita has 13 years of working experience with one Chinese employer in Singapore. The family has 2 children who were 3 and 6 years old when she started working. She was the only helper in an HDB flat with 2 bedrooms and 1 toilet.

â-ª Her main duty was childcare, including sending and fetching the children from school, preparing their meals, and assisting with their daily needs as they grew up. Aside from childcare, she also managed all household chores independently, such as cleaning, laundry, ironing, cooking, and marketing.

â-ª Her long service with one employer shows that she is trustworthy, responsible, and able to maintain a good working relationship with the family.

â-ª Bernadita is able to do a general housework like ironing, marketing, cooking, washing clothes, mopping the floor etc. She also knows how to used electrical appliances such as oven toaster, washing machine, rice cooker etc. She also interested learn how to cook Chinese and Indian Vegetarian and Non-Vegetarian food likes dhal, chapatti, porridge, stir fry vegetables, steam fish etc. She is eager to learn how to cook any kind of food if taught. She knows how to follow recipe book. She is interested to work in Chinese family only.
